Egyptians are fearlessly revolting against their corrupt, dictatorship government. There is little pressure from the international community for the President to submit to the whim of his people, and countless lives have been lost in what appears to be a vain effort. We cannot let this happen. We are one. Their fight is ours. We need to do whatever we can to assist them.
Egyptian authorities have detained and beaten journalists and photographers, shut down the websites of two independent Egyptian newspapers and blocked access to social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter.
Let your voice be heard. Let the international community know that we, as a race, do not find this behavior by anyone to be acceptable. If nothing else, sign the petition below. It may be just a small gesture, but even small actions can mean the world.
